HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate the members of the Morton
4High School Boys Golf Team on the occasion of their
5unbelievably successful 2014 season; and
 
6    WHEREAS, The team finished 15-1 in dual matches, and had a
7list of 1st place finishes including: the Metamora
8Invitational, the Dunlap Shootout, the Canton Invitational,
9and the Monmouth Invitation; and
 
10    WHEREAS, In the regular season conference matches, the team
11had an impressive record of 7-0 and ended conference play by
12also winning the Mid-Illini conference tournament; and
 
13    WHEREAS, The team capped off its season with a victory
14resulting in the Boys 2A Golf State Championship; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Tommy Kuhl, a freshman on the team, was an
16individual State champion; and
 
17    WHEREAS, The coaches are Jamie King, head coach, and Jake
18Tierney, Assistant Coach; and
 
19    WHEREAS, The varsity team members are: Senior Aaron Osing;

1and State qualifiers: Senior Trevor Tompkins; Juniors Pete Kuhl
2and Jack Zem; Sophomore Adam Christianson; and Freshmen Tommy
3Kuhl and Isaac Ingold; and
 
4    WHEREAS, The members of the Morton High School Boys Golf
5team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication
6for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
8NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
9congratulate the members of the Morton High School Boys Golf
10Team on the occasion of winning the Boys 2A Golf Championship
11and wish them continued success and happiness in the future;
12and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the Morton High School Boys Golf Team as a symbol
15of our esteem and respect.
