HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Christopher Judge on obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Judge joined scouting as a Tiger Cub and completed the Cub Scout program by earning the highest rank, the Arrow of Light Award; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Judge joined Boy Scouts of America Troop 303 of Grayslake in February of 2008; he earned merit badges, held various positions of responsibility, including patrol leader, and completed the requirements that allowed him to advance through the ranks of Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class, Star, and Life; during this time, he was elected by his fellow scouts to become a member of the Order of the Arrow, an honorary group for those who exemplify scouting's values; he completed his Ordeal and is a Brotherhood member; and

WHEREAS, In early 2014, Christopher Judge joined Troop 96 of Grayslake; his Eagle Scout project was to stop electronic waste from being improperly discarded and to educate the community about the village's recycling site; after completing all of the requirements, including earning over 21 merit badges, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout on February 3, 2015; and

WHEREAS, In addition to his scouting experiences, Christopher Judge has achieved the Illinois State Scholar accreditations based on academic merit; he also is active with his high school athletics program, serving as a member of the Student Athlete Leadership Team; he has served as Captain of the boys JV tennis team and played on the Varsity team when they won the division; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Judge works part-time and is completing college coursework as he finishes his senior year of high school; he plans to attend Iowa State University to earn a computer science degree and to one day become a Computer Security Analyst; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Christopher Judge on obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America and wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Christopher Judge as an expression of our esteem and respect.
