HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Anita Jo Grace of Olive Branch, who passed away on May 15, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Anita Jo Grace was born on September 18, 1961 to Leland and Mary Jo (nee Collins) McKee; she married Walter Grace on February 14, 1981; and

WHEREAS, Anita Jo Grace was an outstanding member of the business and education communities; she was branch President of the First National Bank of Cairo, where she had worked for the previous 27 years; she served on the board of directors for the Olive Branch Area Community Development Corporation, the Olive Branch Cemetery Association, and the Dodge Memorial Public Library; and

WHEREAS, Anita Jo Grace was a member of Alexander Freewill Baptist Church and the Rotary Club of Cairo; and

WHEREAS, Anita Jo Grace is survived by her husband, Walt; her mother, Mary Jo McKee; her daughter, Lesley; her son, Justin (Jessica); her granddaughter, Natalie; her sister, Rhonda Sue Stokes (Terry Hunt); her 2 brothers, Jerry Leland (Georgia) McKee and Michael Lee McKee; her sister-in-law, Dr. Linda Grace; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Anita Jo Grace, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Anita Jo Grace as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
