HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Gail Goles on the occasion of her retirement as Executive Director for the Gladstone Park Chamber of Commerce; and

WHEREAS, Gail Goles has been a dedicated member of the Gladstone Park Chamber of Commerce for nearly 20 years; and

WHEREAS, Gail Goles wrote and designed the monthly newsletter, organized the successful "Kids Fest", managed community garage sales, and spearheaded the "Family Pet Fair and Parade"; she also ran the Northwest Golf Open and promoted the lamppost banner program; and

WHEREAS, Gail Goles coordinated coloring contests and business fairs and helped the business community connect with residents during the holidays; and

WHEREAS, Gail Goles recruited new members to the Chamber and raised thousands of dollars for scholarship programs; and

WHEREAS, Gail Goles has become the "face" of the Gladstone Park Chamber of Commerce and helped turn it into an important resource for local businesses; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Gail Goles on her retirement as Executive Director for the Gladstone Park Chamber of Commerce and wish her the best in all her future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Gail Goles as an expression of our esteem and respect.
