HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Stephen Wakeman of Boy Scout Troop 151 in Algonquin on achieving the coveted rank of Eagle Scout; and

WHEREAS, Stephen Wakeman was born in Arlington Heights to parents Elizabeth and Raymond Wakeman on August 22, 1997; they now reside in Lake in the Hills in McHenry County; and

WHEREAS, Stephen Wakeman has displayed the needed leadership traits to earn this most prestigious rank: Trustworthiness, Loyalty, Helpfulness, Friendliness, Courteousness, Kindness, Obedience, Cheerfulness, Thriftiness, Bravery, Cleanliness, and Reverence; and

WHEREAS, Stephen Wakeman made a lasting improvement to the community of Lake in the Hills by constructing 32 Baggo Boards for permanent use at the Lake in the Hills Summer Sunset Festival, a project which will save the Village of Lake in the Hills at least $350 per year in costs for the festival; and

WHEREAS, Stephen Wakeman's Eagle project was approved by a local Eagle Board of Review on November 12, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Stephen Wakeman will be honored at his Eagle Court of Honor on May 29, 2016 at Light of Christ Church in Algonquin; and

WHEREAS, Stephen Wakeman serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Stephen Wakeman on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and we wish this extraordinary young man continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Stephen Wakeman as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
