HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives would like to congratulate Randy and Janelle Ream on the opening of their new location of Ream's Meat Market in Elburn; and

WHEREAS, The new location on 250 S. Main St. in Elburn will still feature the usual meats they are known for such as sausages, fresh meats, deli meats, various smoked meats, and other products, but Ream's Meat Market has added a variety of wine and select beers; and

WHEREAS, The new building has almost double the space of the former store, which will accommodate both the retail and manufacturing parts of the business, including a total of three smokehouses; and

WHEREAS, The Ream's are excited for this new location and are looking to implement more aspects of their business now that they have more space; and

WHEREAS, The Ream family has owned the business since 1954, and Randy Ream has been the owner since 1980; and

WHEREAS, Randy Ream has earned a spot in the Cured Meat Hall of Fame along with a combined 200 awards in national and State competitions; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Ream family on the opening of their new location and we wish them many successful years ahead; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Ream family as an expression of our esteem and as a celebration of their importance to the community.
