HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, During the 99th General Assembly, House Joint Resolution 1 created the Emergency Responder Roadway Safety Task Force to identify and recommend ways that the State of Illinois can increase the safety of emergency responders while they perform their duties; and

WHEREAS, The Emergency Responder Roadway Safety Task Force was to report its findings and recommendations to the General Assembly on or before January 1, 2016; and

WHEREAS, The Emergency Responder Roadway Safety Task Force needs additional time to complete its work; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that the Emergency Responder Roadway Safety Task Force shall submit a report, as required in House Joint Resolution 1 of the 99th General Assembly, no later than January 1, 2017; and be it further

RESOLVED, That with this reporting extension, the Emergency Responder Roadway Safety Task Force shall continue to operate pursuant to House Joint Resolution 1 of the 99th General Assembly.
