    Amends the Crematory Regulation Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the powers and duties of the Comptroller.

1    AN ACT concerning health.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Crematory Regulation Act is amended by
5changing Section 7 as follows:
 
6    (410 ILCS 18/7)
7    (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2021)
8    Sec. 7. Powers and duties of the Comptroller. Subject to
9the provisions of this Act, the the Comptroller may exercise
10any of the following powers and duties:
11        (1) Authorize standards to ascertain the
12    qualifications and fitness of applicants for licensing as
13    licensed crematory authorities and pass upon the
14    qualifications of applicants for licensure.
15        (2) Examine and audit a licensed crematory authority's
16    records, crematory, or any other aspects of crematory
17    operation as the Comptroller deems appropriate.
18        (3) Investigate any and all unlicensed activity.
19        (4) Conduct hearings on proceedings to refuse to issue
20    licenses or to revoke, suspend, place on probation,
21    reprimand, or otherwise discipline licensees and to refuse
22    to issue licenses or to revoke, suspend, place on
23    probation, reprimand, or otherwise discipline licensees.

1        (5) Formulate rules required for the administration of
2    this Act.
3        (6) Maintain rosters of the names and addresses of all
4    licensees, and all entities whose licenses have been
5    suspended, revoked, or otherwise disciplined. These
6    rosters shall be available upon written request and payment
7    of the required fee.
