HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Breese Mater Dei Knights girls volleyball team on winning the Class 3A State Championship; and

WHEREAS, The Knights won the State Championship on November 12, 2011 at the Redbird Arena in Normal against Marian Central; and

WHEREAS, This victory was the second State championship in a row for the Knights, who also won the 3A title in 2010; and

WHEREAS, The Coach of the Knights is Chad Rakers; the Assistant Coach is Fred Rakers; and

WHEREAS, The members of the team are: Samantha Bedard, Kayla Eversgerd, Holland Hempen, Alyssa Hitpas, Bailey Kampwerth, Emily Koelling, Lexi Kohnen, Ali Lampen, Abby Luebbers, Mallory Mensing, Brooke Schulte, and Abbey Winter; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Breese Mater Dei Knights girls volleyball team on winning the Class 3A State Championship and wish them the best in their future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Breese Mater Dei Knights girls volleyball team as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
