SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Bryan P. Johnson of Rock Island, who passed away on January 9, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Bryan Johnson was born in Davenport, Iowa to Paul and Della (Hahn) Johnson on June 7, 1957; he went by many nicknames over the years, including "Butch" to his little sister Sheryl, "Twiggy" in Sherrard, and "Bucky" in Rockridge; he served in the U.S. Army; he married Debbie (Quackenbush) Schwartz in Rock Island on September 21, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Bryan Johnson worked as a professional roofer at McCartney Improvement Co. for many years; and

WHEREAS, Bryan Johnson loved cooking for his friends and family; he also enjoyed watching game shows, especially Jeopardy, and solving jigsaw puzzles; and

WHEREAS, Bryan Johnson was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Bryan Johnson is survived by his wife, Debbie Johnson; his sisters, Jyll (John) Abbott and Sheryl (Virlon) Lamberson; his uncles, Don Johnson, Paul Carter, and their families; his nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his dear friends, Bill and Joyce Simmons; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Bryan P. Johnson and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bryan Johnson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
