SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jason R. "Jake" Pruski of Sandwich, who passed away on July 29, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Jake Pruski was born in Sandwich to Michael R. and Carol L. (Rogers) Pruski on February 21, 1972; he married Kristine M. Edwards in Sycamore on May 6, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Jake Pruski served as the Chief of the Sandwich Community Fire Protection District for three years and had been a member for over 30 years; he was a fire science instructor at Indian Valley Vocational Center and Waubonsee Community College; and

WHEREAS, Jake Pruski was a carpenter at heart and loved to build furniture and countless other objects; he was a sports fan, and the Chicago Bulls and NASCAR were his favorites; his greatest joy was spending time with his friends and family, especially his children; he was a loving husband and an amazing father; and

WHEREAS, Jake Pruski was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl and Vivian Rogers and Mike and Adelaide Pruski; and his uncle, Steven E. Rogers, DDS; and

WHEREAS, Jake Pruski is survived by his wife, Kristy; his parents; his children, Baleigh, Bridgett, Connor, and Ava Pruski; his brothers, Jeremy (Heather) Pruski and Jeff (Christy) Pruski; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jason R. "Jake" Pruski and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jake Pruski as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
