SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Victor W. "Vic" "Grampe" Pavlich, who
4passed away on December 1, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Vic Pavlich was born to Anton and Evelyn
6(Stiglich) Pavlich on December 23, 1928; he was a veteran of
7the United States Army and served in the Korean War; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Vic Pavlich was the Crest Hill Deputy Liquor
9Commissioner and had earlier retired from the Army Corps of
10Engineers; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Vic Pavlich was a member of Cantigny Post #367,
12the Chance Club, and the Joliet Senior Club (table 8); he was
13an active parishioner of St. Anne Catholic Church in Crest
14Hill; he volunteered for the Lockport High School Reality
15Program and at the Rialto Theater; he was an avid fan of the
16Chicago Cubs, NASCAR, Homer Mustang Basketball, Lockport
17Porter Basketball, and Providence Celtic Football; he could put
18a smile on anyone's face; two of his greatest joys in life were
19caring for his granddaughter and his great-grandson; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Vic Pavlich was preceded in death by his parents;
21his in-laws, Dominic and Teresa Buffer; and his siblings,

1Anthony, Lorraine, and Theresa; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Vic Pavlich is survived by his wife of 65 years,
3Betty; his son, Bill; his daughter, Sharon Cullen; his
4granddaughter, Michelle L. (Kevin) Lynn; his great-grandson,
5Kevin Roy Lynn Jr.; his brothers, George (Ardis), Ed, Butch,
6and Lenny; his sister, Anne Baudino; and his many nieces and
7nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Victor W. "Vic" "Grampe" Pavlich and extend our sincere
11condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
12him; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Victor Pavlich as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
