SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of William J. "Bill" Ardaugh of Manhattan,
4Illinois, who passed away on August 26, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bill Ardaugh graduated from St. Joseph Grade
6School in 1941 and Joliet Catholic High School in 1945; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Bill Ardaugh worked for Standard Oil until 1965
8and Uniroyal until his retirement in 1992; during his
9retirement, he began a successful career in real estate; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Bill Ardaugh was an active member of St. Joseph
11Church; he enjoyed many activities, including playing golf and
12cards, vacations at the Lake of the Ozarks, all things Irish
13(including Notre Dame), and swimming at the YMCA; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Bill Ardaugh was preceded in death by his parents,
15Mildred and John Ardaugh; his wife, Beverly Ardaugh; his
16brother, Robert Ardaugh; and his stepfather, Jack Doyle; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Bill Ardaugh is survived by his children, Barbara
18(Thomas) Bolek, Daniel (Cheryl) Ardaugh, Susan (John) Walsh,
19John R. "Jack" Ardaugh, and Carol (David) Mark; his
20grandchildren, Anna (Max) Glen, Christopher (Jennifer) Bolek,

1Eileen (Brent) Mattox, Katherine Ardaugh, Brian (Jill)
2Ardaugh, Patrick (Becky) Walsh, Daniel (Lauren) Walsh, Kathryn
3(Steve) Hunt, Kevin Ardaugh, John Ardaugh, Ryan Mark, and Emily
4Mark; 12 great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Nileta
5Roberts; and numerous cousins; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8William J. "Bill" Ardaugh, and extend our sincere condolences
9to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
10it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Bill Ardaugh as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
