SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of David Leonard Olson of Elkhart, who passed away on November 26, 2018; and

WHEREAS, David Olson was born in Lincoln to Alfred and Mildred (Amberg) Olson on December 2, 1939; he graduated from Elkhart High School in 1958 and married Lois Carolyn Sapp on July 7, 1958; and

WHEREAS, David Olson was a lifelong grain and livestock farmer with his family in Broadwell and Elkhart; and

WHEREAS, David Olson had a large and loving family and devoted his life to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, David Olson was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert F. Olson; and

WHEREAS, David Olson is survived by his wife, Lois; his children, John (Ann) Olson, Dana (Curt) Hudson, Elizabeth (Mike) Anderson, Joe (Angela) Olson, William (Emily) Olson, and Richard (Jason) Olson; 21 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Mary Ann Garrison; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of David Leonard Olson and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of David Olson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
