SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Michael L. "Mike" Ryon of Peoria, who passed away on November 20, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Mike Ryon was born in Peoria to William A. and Mary C. (Martin) Ryon on February 16, 1957; he earned his master's degree in education from Illinois State University; and

WHEREAS, Mike Ryon was an educator in the Peoria Public Schools for over 25 years; most recently, he worked at the Peoria Alternative School; and

WHEREAS, Mike Ryon was an avid collector of antiques, a gardener, a student of history, and a dog lover; he was a gentle soul who enjoyed his friends and family and will be especially missed by his nieces and nephews; and

WHEREAS, Mike Ryon was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, David Ryon; and

WHEREAS, Mike Ryon is survived by his brothers, Timothy (Nancy) Ryon and Tom (Mary) Ryon; his sister-in-law, Marialice Ryon; and his eight nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Michael L."Mike" Ryon and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mike Ryon as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
