SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Martin F. Zahnle, who passed away on October 16, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Martin Zahnle was born to A. Norman and Margaret (Sullivan) Zahnle and served in the U.S. Air Force; and

WHEREAS, Martin Zahnle retired from the Glencoe Post Office; and

WHEREAS, Martin Zahnle was a kind and generous man who always opened his home to family members in need; he was a faithful parishioner of Saint Mary of Vernon Parish; he was his extended family's official photographer and greatly enjoyed capturing family celebrations; and

WHEREAS, Martin Zahnle was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Maureen Ugolini and Carol Cowles; his niece, Deborah Satchwell; and his mother-in-law, Marjorie N. Kiernan; and

WHEREAS, Martin Zahnle is survived by his wife, Marie (Kiernan); his brothers, Daniel and Richard (Sharon); his brother-in-law, Dominick Ugolini; his goddaughters, Jean Gorski and Lee Hicks; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Martin F. Zahnle and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Martin Zahnle as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
