SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Carol L. (Lockwood) Baran of Hillsboro,
4who passed away on October 13, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Carol Baran was born in Litchfield to John and
6Mary (Pianfetti) Lockwood on May 2, 1945; she graduated from
7Litchfield High School; she married William "Bill" Baran on
8August 17, 1968; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Carol Baran worked for the Illinois Commerce
10Commission; she had a licensed daycare and operated Baran's
11Paint Store and Christian Book Store in Hillsboro; she was the
12school crossing guard for 19 years; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Carol Baran was a member of the Calvary Baptist
14Church in Hillsboro, where she taught Sunday school for first
15and second graders for 32 years; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Carol Baran was preceded in death by her parents
17and her sisters, Dorothy Najduk and Doris Herring; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Carol Baran is survived by her husband, Bill; her
19daughters, Carrie (Tim) Fogle and Mary (Rob) Benoit; her son,
20Mick (Nikki) Baran; her grandchildren, John and Hannah Fogle,

1Jack and Megan Baran, and Audrey and Zach Benoit; and her
2sisters, Shirley Lowe, LaJuanna Anderson, and Valerie Cordes;
3therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Carol L. (Lockwood) Baran and extend our sincere condolences to
7her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Carol Baran as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
