| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of William A. "Bill" Myers of Normal, who | 4 | | passed away on October 4, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bill Myers was born in Bloomington to Gordon W. | 6 | | and Phillis Eileen Purcell Myers on July 31, 1957; he graduated | 7 | | from Bloomington High School in 1975; he married Elizabeth | 8 | | "Betsy" Anne Shaw at the Washington D.C. Temple in Kensington, | 9 | | Maryland on December 29, 1976; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Bill Myers worked for the Bloomington Housing | 11 | | Authority for over 30 years; he retired as the Director of | 12 | | Technical Services in January 2018; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Bill Myers was an active member of the Church of | 14 | | Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving others | 15 | | through various callings in the church; he was also active in | 16 | | the Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal; he was a past | 17 | | board member of the YMCA, a past participant in Leadership | 18 | | McLean County, a Cardinal Youth Football volunteer, and a BNGSA | 19 | | Board member and coach; he was also involved with the | 20 | | activities of his children and grandchildren; his greatest love | 21 | | was to love others and to serve righteously; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Bill Myers is survived by his wife, Betsy; his | 2 | | children, Angela Myers, Brett Myers, Amanda (Tim) Schneider, | 3 | | DesaRae (Brian) Ludolph, Ashleigh Myers, Kyle (Mandy) Myers, | 4 | | Austin Myers, Chelsea (Wes) Hood, and Danylle Myers; his seven | 5 | | grandchildren; his siblings, Patricia (Randy) Miller, Rich | 6 | | (Cathy Kelly) Myers, Angie Dossett, Steffen (April) Myers, and | 7 | | Kaye Holman; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | William A. "Bill" Myers and extend our sincere condolences to | 11 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 12 | | further
