SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Richard Raymond "Rich" Alfano of Augusta,
4Georgia, formerly of Waukegan, who passed away on September 6,
52018; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Rich Alfano was born in Waukegan to Rose D. and
7John T. Alfano Sr. on June 10, 1945; he served in the United
8States Army Reserves from 1969 until 1971; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Rich Alfano worked at G.D. Searle for 20 years;
10after his retirement, he worked part-time in the pro-shop at
11Green Meadows Golf Course; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Rich Alfano was an avid golfer who loved to be on
13the course with his friends; he was also a devoted and loving
14father and grandfather; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Rich Alfano was preceded in death by his parents
16and his brother, John J. Alfano Jr.; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Rich Alfano is survived by his daughters, Michele
18(Joseph Lowery) Fanning and Debbie (Chad) Thompson; his
19grandchildren, Matthew Fanning, Avery Thompson, and Addison
20Thompson; his sisters, Carol Turk and Better Seger; and his

1nephews, Dean, Scott, and Ken Seger; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Richard Raymond "Rich" Alfano and extend our sincere
5condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
6him; and be it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Rich Alfano as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
