SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of John G. Thyer Sr. of Bunker Hill, who
4passed away on September 6, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, John Thyer was born in Alton to Arthur Jr. and
6Charlotte (Welch) Thyer on January 5, 1954; he married Cindy
7(Diestelhorst) Thyer in Bunker Hill on March 10, 1973; and
 
8    WHEREAS, John Thyer worked as an over the road car hauler,
9and he was Principal Officer of Teamster Local 604; and
 
10    WHEREAS, John Thyer enjoyed fishing with Terry, golfing
11with his boys, and racing super modified race cars; and
 
12    WHEREAS, John Thyer was preceded in death by his father,
13Arthur, and his brother, Steve Thyer; and
 
14    WHEREAS, John Thyer is survived by his mother, Charlotte
15Thyer; his wife, Cindy Thyer; his children, Jodi (Joe)
16Potthast, Richard (Emily) Thyer, Katie (John) Mirkovic, Amanda
17(Steve) Moore, Angie (J.R.) Santel, Julie (Shaun) Watson, John
18(Allie) Thyer Jr., and Nick (Jessica) Thyer; his grandchildren,
19Brooklyn, Michaela, Ashlyn, Trent, Drew, Ava, Liam, Kyla,
20Roland, Clint, Clark, Ariana, Vivian, Blake, Luke, Jake, Addie

1Jane, Zoey, Alex, Carter, Braden, Betty, Addi Lynn, Frank,
2Claire, and a 26th grandchild expected in January of 2019; his
3great-granddaughter, Genevieve Hunter; his 2nd
4great-grandchild, Tyler Thomas expected in November of 2018;
5his brother, Joe (Debbie) Thyer; his sister-in-law, Peggy
6Thyer; and his mother-in-law, Jane Diestelhorst; therefore, be
7it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10John G. Thyer Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of John Thyer as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
