SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Rudolph I. "Rudy" Mrazek of Staunton, who passed away on August 19, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Rudy Mrazek was born in Evanston to Rudolph C. and Jane (Adamek) Mrazek on April 14, 1958; he married Kathy Spears on May 29, 1998; and

WHEREAS, Rudy Mrazek worked as a Laborer with Local #379 of Edwardsville for many years; and

WHEREAS, Rudy Mrazek was a member of the Staunton Masonic Lodge #177 AF & AM, as well as a member of the Shriners International; and

WHEREAS, Rudy Mrazek was preceded in death by his parents; his son, John Rosenthal; and his brother, Karl Mrazek; and

WHEREAS, Rudy Mrazek is survived by his wife, Kathy; his sons, Mike Mrazek and Josh (Elizabeth) Rosenthal; his daughters, Jennifer (Gus Viehweg) Mrazek and Jennifer (Shane) Kessinger; his grandchildren, Nova, Nathan, Adam, Lucas, Lauren, Aubrey, Kasen, and Mackenzie; his sister, Jane Flanders; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Rudolph I. "Rudy" Mrazek and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Rudy Mrazek as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
