SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Elfrieda H. Kelly, who passed away on November 17, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Elfrieda Kelly was born in Libertyville to Henry and Henrietta Mesenbrink on August 28, 1931; she graduated from Libertyville High School in 1949; she was baptized, confirmed, and married at St. John Lutheran Church in Libertyville; and

WHEREAS, Elfrieda Kelly worked as a telephone operator at Illinois Bell from 1951-1962; and

WHEREAS, Elfrieda Kelly was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Elfrieda Kelly was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, William John Mesenbrink; and

WHEREAS, Elfrieda Kelly is survived by her husband of 57 years, Frank W. Kelly; and her children, Edward Kelly and Laura Kelly; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Elfrieda H. Kelly and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Elfrieda Kelly as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
