SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Margaret Mary Paddock of Woodstock, who passed away on November 19, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Margaret Paddock was born at home in Fremont Center to Joseph F. and Margaretha E. (Lenzen) Tekampe on October 17, 1916; she married Ronald M. Paddock at St. Mary's Church in Fremont Center on February 16, 1938; and

WHEREAS, Margaret Paddock and her husband were dairy farmers at various locations within Lake County while raising their four children; in 1961, they retired to Wauconda, where Margaret lived for the next 50 years; and

WHEREAS, Margaret Paddock was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald; her daughter, Elaine Downing and son-in-law, Michael Downing; her brothers, Leo and her twin, Joseph; and her sisters, Martha Rossdeutcher and twins, Regina Weidner and Christina Leffelman; and

WHEREAS, Margaret Paddock is survived by her sons, Roger (Dorothy) Paddock, Kenneth (Angeline) Paddock, and Vernon (Ruth) Paddock; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Margaret Mary Paddock, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Margaret Paddock as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
