SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Eugene A. Rosio of Harvard, who passed away on February 23, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Eugene Rosio was born on April 15, 1933 in Rhinelander, Wisconsin to Raymond and Catherine (nee Rolain) Rosio; he attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and served in the United States Army during the Korean War; he married Ruth Patton in September of 1956; and

WHEREAS, Eugene Rosio taught at McHenry High School for 35 years in science, agriculture, welding, power mechanics, and auto mechanics, and was a Future Farmers of America Advisor; and

WHEREAS, Eugene Rosio served as a volunteer fireman with the Alden-Hebron-Greenwood Fire Department; he enjoyed fishing, camping, automotive repair, and was a part-time inventor; and

WHEREAS, Eugene Rosio was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and his brother, Roland Rosio; and

WHEREAS, Eugene Rosio is survived by his children, Gina (Rick) Papworth, Amy (Francisco) Cesar, Eugene Andrew (Doreen) Rosio, Natalie (Brian) Lovato, and Allen (Tawnya) Rosio; his 11 grandchildren; his 2 great-grandchildren; his sister, Janet (Marvin) Haase; and his brothers, Glen, Richard, and Dale Rosio; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Eugene A. Rosio, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Eugene Rosio as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
