SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Diane Shogren of Ingleside, who passed
4away on February 5, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Diane Shogren was born in DeKalb on April 29, 1962
6to Allen and Bette (nee Oster) McCowan; she attended elementary
7and high school in Lockport and earned her Bachelor of Science
8in Nursing from Northern Illinois University in 1984; she
9married Steven Shogren in Kildeer on November 6, 1987; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Diane Shogren began her career at West Suburban
11Hospital before working for over 20 years at Good Shepherd
12Hospital; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Diane Shogren enjoyed camping, volleyball,
14bowling, and golfing; she was an avid reader and liked to solve
15puzzles; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Diane Shogren is survived by her husband of 26
17years, Steven; her children, Jessica Larsen, Jordan Shogren,
18and Tyler Shogren; her mother, Bette McCowan; her father, Allen
19(Nancy) McCowan; her sister, Cathy (Oliver) Brandt; her
20brothers, Richard (Roberta) McCowan and Don (Kathy) McCowan;
21her step-sister, Amy (Mike) Steffgen; her step-brother, Andrew

1(Andrea) Fry; her sisters-in-law, Lynette (Don) Tillis, Susan
2(George) Marotta, and Mary Shogren; her brothers-in-law,
3Donald (Judy) Shogren and John Shogren; and her many nieces and
4nephews; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Diane Shogren, and extend our sincere condolences to her
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Diane Shogren as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
