SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of James R. Koerner, who passed away on February 10, 2014; and

WHEREAS, James Koerner was an avid golfer and enjoyed driving and caring for his Corvette; he loved to spend time with friends on Thursday nights and attend his grandchildren's sporting events; and

WHEREAS, James Koerner was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Zirna (nee Chaffee) Koerner; his brothers, Martin and Michael; his sister, Joan Robinson; his nephew, Daniel Robinson; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Michael and Lillian (nee Hochevar) Gale; and

WHEREAS, James Koerner is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Ann (nee Gale); his son, Craig (fiance Cathey McShane); his daughter, Kris (Bill) Linneweh: his grandchildren, Morgan and Colin Linneweh; his brother, Patrick (Mary Ann) Koerner; his sisters-in-law, Judy (James) Batusich and Rose (Thomas) Giarrante; his brother-in-law, Michael (Donna) Gale; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of James R. Koerner, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of James Koerner as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
