SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Nicholas "Nick" Angelopulos, Jr. of Winthrop Harbor, who passed away on December 27, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Nicholas Angelopulos, Jr. was born on June 17, 1947 in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Nicholas Angelopulos, Jr. served his country as a member of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War; and

WHEREAS, Nicholas Angelopulos, Jr. retired from Wonder Bread in Waukegan after many years of service; he subsequently went to work at Bass Pro Shop in Gurnee; and

WHEREAS, Nicholas Angelopulos, Jr. was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Angelopulos; his mother-in-law, Betty Mitchell Poore; his father-in-law, Clyde T. Poore; and his brother-in-law, Randy Poore; and

WHEREAS, Nicholas Angelopulos, Jr. is survived by his wife, Diane Poore Angelopulos; his children, Christopher G. (Karla) Angelopulos, Jonathan C. (Toby) Angelopulos, and Jason N. Angelopulos; his grandchildren, Orion, Bailee, Inakai, Kaelan, Briahna, Logan, and Jace Angelopulos and Danielle and Jessica Cole; his father, Nicholas Angelopulos, Sr.; his sister, Connie (Dave Williams) Blackford; his nephew, Jim Blackford; and his nieces, Lori Beth Serokusek and Dawn Miller; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Nicholas "Nick" Angelopulos, Jr.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Nicholas Angelopulos, Jr. as an expression of our sympathy.
