SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of James D. Miller of McHenry, who passed away on February 4, 2014; and

WHEREAS, James Miller was born January 31, 1957 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin; his parents were Jerome W. and Jeanette M. (nee Frank) Miller; he married Victoria K. Friesl on July 18, 2006 at Shepherd of the Hills Church in McHenry; and

WHEREAS, James Miller attended Kohler High School, Northwestern University, where he played football, and Northern Illinois University; and

WHEREAS, James Miller was employed as a physical education teacher, department head, and football, track, and wrestling coach at Cary Grove High School; and

WHEREAS, James Miller enjoyed golf, riding Harley Davidsons, bowling, exercising, skiing, gardening, yoga, riding bikes, cooking, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends; and

WHEREAS, James Miller was preceded in death by his father, Jerome; his first wife, Daryl; and his brother, Daniel; and

WHEREAS, James Miller is survived by his wife, Vicki; his son, Andrew Miller; his step-children, Gage, Chase, and Lexi Miller; his granddaughter, Adalie Miller; his mother; and his brothers, David (Kathy) Miller and Bill (Cheryl) Miller; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of James D. Miller; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of James Miller as an expression of our sympathy.
