SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Darlene Robinson of Alton, who passed away on January 28, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Darlene Robinson was born in Alton on October 24, 1958 to Christopher Robinson, Sr. and Pattie Mae (nee Hutchins) Herron; she graduated from Alton Senior High School in 1976; and

WHEREAS, Darlene Robinson worked at St. Joseph Hospital as a Certified Nursing Assistant and later became a home healthcare provider; and

WHEREAS, Darlene Robinson enjoyed being around family and friends, playing cards, and giving the neighborhood kids a ride on her hover round; and

WHEREAS, Darlene Robinson was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, William Herron, Sr., Carl Herron, Sr., and Maurice Herron; her sisters, Ethel Mclemore and Sharron Terry; her sister-in-law, Patricia Herron; and her brother-in-law, Samuel Morgan, Sr.; and

WHEREAS, Darlene Robinson is survived by her daughter, Willie Mae Boyd; her sisters, Joyce Morgan, Gloria Winn, Brenda (Larry) Beard, and Melva Gordon; her brother, Christopher (Leslie) Robinson; her sisters-in-law, Marie and Zora Herron; her aunt, Jeannette Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Darlene Robinson, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Darlene Robinson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
