SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of James "Bill" Wyllie of Aurora, who passed
4away on January 28, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, James Wyllie was born on August 22, 1922 in
6Aurora; his parents were James and Ruth (nee Kittell) Wyllie;
7he married Virginia "Ginnie" Wallman on August 14, 1944 at
8Bethany Lutheran Church; and
 
9    WHEREAS, James Wyllie was a decorated veteran of World War
10II and the Korean Conflict and was honored with 4 Purple Hearts
11for his service; in 2009, he and his son traveled and
12participated in the veteran Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, James Wyllie was a member of the Disabled American
15Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1197, American Legion
16Post 504 and the Golden "K" Kiwanis; he was also a charter
17member of the Aurora Hunting and Fishing Club; and
 
18    WHEREAS, James Wyllie was preceded in death by his parents
19and his sisters, Jacquelyn Pini and Joyce Limbaugh; and
 
20    WHEREAS, James Wyllie is survived by his wife, Virginia;

1his children, William (Barbara) Wyllie, Ginger (Duke) Wahl,
2Carla (Dale) Seyller, and James Wyllie; his 8 grandchildren;
3and his 10 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
6family and friends, mourn the passing of James "Bill" Wyllie;
7and be it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of James Wyllie as an expression of our
10sympathy.
