SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of James "Bill" Wyllie of Aurora, who passed away on January 28, 2014; and

WHEREAS, James Wyllie was born on August 22, 1922 in Aurora; his parents were James and Ruth (nee Kittell) Wyllie; he married Virginia "Ginnie" Wallman on August 14, 1944 at Bethany Lutheran Church; and

WHEREAS, James Wyllie was a decorated veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict and was honored with 4 Purple Hearts for his service; in 2009, he and his son traveled and participated in the veteran Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.; and

WHEREAS, James Wyllie was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1197, American Legion Post 504 and the Golden "K" Kiwanis; he was also a charter member of the Aurora Hunting and Fishing Club; and

WHEREAS, James Wyllie was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Jacquelyn Pini and Joyce Limbaugh; and

WHEREAS, James Wyllie is survived by his wife, Virginia; his children, William (Barbara) Wyllie, Ginger (Duke) Wahl, Carla (Dale) Seyller, and James Wyllie; his 8 grandchildren; and his 10 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of James "Bill" Wyllie; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of James Wyllie as an expression of our sympathy.
