SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jessie M. Winkelman of Woodstock, who passed away on January 27, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Jessie Winkelman was born on March 7, 1932 in Selma, Iowa; her parents were Isaac A. and Iva E. (nee Parker) Northup; she married Wilbur "Swede" Winkelman on February 23, 1952 in Woodstock; and

WHEREAS, Jessie Winkelman was an employee of Guardian Electric and Elco Hillcrest in Woodstock; and

WHEREAS, Jessie Winkelman was a member at St. John's Lutheran Church in Woodstock; and

WHEREAS, Jessie Winkelman was an avid reader; she also enjoyed spending time with her family; and

WHEREAS, Jessie Winkelman was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her siblings, Clair Northup and Mary Huffstutler; and

WHEREAS, Jessie Winkelman is survived by her son, Steve (Linda) Winkelman; her daughter, Denise (Gary) Wedoff; her grandchildren, Nicholas (Jamie) Wedoff, Adam (Bridget) Wedoff, Andrew (Sheila) Winkelman, Brian (Kari) Winkelman, and Laura Winkelman; her great-grandchildren, Audrey, Adalynn, Magdalen, Levi, Lucas, Carson, Kaden, Savanna, Lily, Gabriel, and Elijah; her brothers, Glen (Lucy) Northup, Arlo Northup, Jack (Elaine) Northup, and Robert Northup; her sisters, Arda Downing, Donna Marzahl, and Helen (Jay) Murrell; and her many other extended family members; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Jessie M. Winkelman; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jessie Winkelman as an expression of our sympathy.
