SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert Edward Rhead of Woodstock, who
4passed away on January 4, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Rhead was born on April 25, 1943 in
6Monterey Park, California; his parents were Richard and Agnes
7(nee Haskell) Rhead; he married Beverly M. Stone on August 23,
81964 in Yucca Valley, California; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Robert Rhead was a member of the Woodstock
10Assembly of God Church for over 32 years and served as the
11church's secretary and treasurer for over 27 years; he was also
12the head of the church's Grands Ministry; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Robert Rhead coached basketball for the Woodstock
14Christian School, having led his team to the championship game;
15he also coached a little league baseball team; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Robert Rhead grew up in the desert climate and
17enjoyed going rock climbing and catching lizards and snakes; he
18also enjoyed playing games that challenged the mind, especially
19Sudoku and jigsaw puzzles, and gardening; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Robert Rhead was preceded in death by his parents;

2    WHEREAS, Robert Rhead is survived by his loving wife of 49
3years, Beverly M. Rhead; his daughter, Kimberly (A. Bradley)
4Sass; his grandchildren, Chad Sass and Sarah Sass; his
5great-granddaughter, Hailee Sass; his brother, Richard (Dety)
6Rhead; his sister, Ann Conzelman; and his many nieces and
7nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
10family and friends, mourn the passing of Robert Edward Rhead;
11and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Robert Rhead as an expression of our
14sympathy.
