SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Joseph William "Bill" Byots of Gillespie,
4who passed away on December 10, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joseph Byots was born on June 24, 1929 in Mt.
6Olive to John and Catherine (nee Bellovich) Byots; he married
7Joanne Marie Redolfi on September 3, 1955 in Gillespie; he
8served his country during the Korean War as a medic; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Joseph Byots retired from the Shell Refinery
10Company and Byots Pest Control; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Joseph Byots was a member of the Veterans of
12Foreign Wars Post #4547, Saints Simon and Jude Church in
13Gillespie, the Knights of Columbus, and the Croatian Fraternal
14Union Lodge #217; he enjoyed following high school sports, the
15Chicago Cubs, and Notre Dame football; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Joseph Byots was preceded in death by his parents;
17his wife, Joanne; his son, Joseph William Byots, Jr.; his
18grandson, William Dale Byots; and his brother, John Byots; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Joseph Byots is survived by his children, James
20(Jennifer) Byots, Michael (Regina) Byots, and Lee Anne (Jeff)

1Ross; his grandchildren, Joshua Ross, Jessica Ross, Joshua
2Huber, Whitney Huber, Dominique Byots, Michael Byots, JD Byots,
3and Noah Byots; his great-grandchildren, Haeden Kellebrew and
4Leyton Odle; and his siblings, Marian (Robert) Droste and Helen
5(Jules) Hainaut; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Joseph William "Bill" Byots, and extend our sincere condolences
9to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
10it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Joseph Byots as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
