SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Grace Frances Annarella of Fox Lake, who passed away on December 25, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Grace Annarella was born on August 30, 1931 in Chicago to Mathias and Grace (nee Hutchinson) Hofmann; she married Rocco Annarella on July 22, 1950 in Valparaiso, Indiana; she earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education degrees at Northeastern University; and

WHEREAS, Grace Annarella taught for Woodstock District 200 and McHenry School District 15; and

WHEREAS, Grace Annarella always enjoyed the Christmas holiday and loved being outdoors and fishing; and

WHEREAS, Grace Annarella was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Ann and her brother, George; and

WHEREAS, Grace Annarella is survived by her husband, Rocco; her children, Theresa (Mark) Williams, James (Kathleen) Annarella, Joseph (JoAnn) Annarella, Mary (Donald) Bernasek, Karen (David) Janssen, Laurie (the late Thomas) Cheseney, Carol (David) Marino, Melissa (Richard) Wick, and John (Nicole) Annarella; her 21 grandchildren; her 25 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Mary Margaret (Robert) Brown and Christine (David) Bennet; and her brothers, James (Mary Lou) Crosby and John (Karen) Crosby; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Grace Frances Annarella, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Grace Annarella as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
