SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Eileen Elizabeth Hoffman of Collinsville,
4who passed away on December 3, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Eileen Hoffman was born on June 22, 1938 in Breese
6to Francis and Irene (nee Schrage) Woltering; she earned both
7her Bachelor of Science in Business and her master's degree in
8Business Administration from Southern Illinois University at
9Edwardsville; she married Ernest Hoffman on November 26, 1959;
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, Eileen Hoffman retired as program manager at Air
12Mobility Command-Scott Air Force Base; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Eileen Hoffman was active with the Collinsville
14Historical Museum, and volunteered for election campaigns; she
15was a member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in
16Maryville and was a former choir member; she enjoyed reading
17and spending time with her family; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Eileen Hoffman was preceded in death by her
19husband, Ernest; her son, Jerome Hoffman; and her parents; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Eileen Hoffman is survived by her son, State

1Representative Jay (Laurie) Hoffman; her grandchildren, Emily
2(Kyle) Stigler and Katelyn Hoffman; her brother, David (Lena)
3Woltering; her sisters, Ruth (Tom) Kueper, Mary Edith (William)
4Koch, Connie (Rick) Fangmeyer, and Janet (Joe) Humphrey; and
5numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Eileen Elizabeth Hoffman, extend our sincere condolences to her
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Eileen Hoffman as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
