SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William F. McGrain of Naples, Florida, formerly of Waukegan, who passed away on January 12, 2013; and

WHEREAS, William McGrain was born on December 14, 1933, in Waukegan to Francis and Kathleen Duffy McGrain; and

WHEREAS, William McGrain devoted his life to caring for his family, and after his retirement, to caring for his church; and

WHEREAS, William McGrain was preceded by his parents and his first wife, Margaret Niva; and

WHEREAS, William McGrain is the beloved husband of Adrienne McGrain; father of Rhonda Storc and Mary Ann Stiefel; stepfather of Leslie Kaiser, Matthew Brandstetter, Brian Brandstetter, and Barbara Brandstetter; grandfather of Erin Endress, Jared Stiefel, Kaitlyn Storc, Alyson Stiefel, and Jaclyn Stiefel; step-grandfather of Nicholas Read, Philip Read, Tyler Brandstetter, and William Brandstetter; brother of Patricia Schmitz, David McGrain, Leo McGrain, and Jim McGrain; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of William McGrain, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William McGrain as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
