SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Kenneth J. Steinlein of McHenry, who
4passed away on September 27, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Kenneth Steinlein was born on October 26, 1929 in
6Chicago; his parents were Jacob Joseph Steinlein and Rose Helen
7Hewelt; he married Marian L. Alford on August 2, 1980; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Kenneth Steinlein was a proud graduate of Lane
9Technical College Preparatory High School in Chicago; he served
10in the United States Army during the Korean War and later
11served in the United States Army Reserve; and
 
12    WHEREAS, After retiring from a career in insurance in 1985,
13Kenneth Steinlein volunteered for the Retired and Senior
14Volunteer Program in McHenry County; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Kenneth Steinlein enjoyed flying, reading,
16traveling, woodworking, and gardening; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Kenneth Steinlein was preceded in death by his
18parents; his brother, Vincent; and his sisters, Dolores and
19Marge; and

1    WHEREAS, Kenneth Steinlein is survived by his wife; his
2children, Gary Steinlein, Keith Steinlein, David Steinlein,
3Wayne (Ayne) Steinlein, Craig Steinlein, Kathryn Loitz, Nancy
4(Joe) Nelson, Kathleen Alford, Karen Alford, and Murray
5(Brenda) Alford; his grandchildren, Christofer, Jennifer,
6Carrie, Candice, Jason, Samantha, Stephanie, Jordan, and
7Isaac; and his great-grandchildren, Charlee, Grace, Elena,
8Castle, Jamie, and Jackson; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
11family and friends, mourn the passing of Kenneth J. Steinlein;
12and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Kenneth Steinlein as an expression
15of our sympathy.
