SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Madeline G. Bolger of McHenry, who passed
4away on September 28, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Madeline Bolger was born on February 15, 1925 in
6McHenry; her parents were Walter G. and Olive G. Freund; she
7married Walter "Gov" J. Bolger on July 2, 1966 at St. Mary
8Catholic Church in McHenry; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Madeline Bolger graduated from McHenry High
10School in 1943; after high school, she continued her schooling
11and worked in Washington, D.C.; she lived with her husband on
12the family farm in the heart of the Irish Prairie for 46 years;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, Madeline Bolger enjoyed gardening, freezing
15vegetables, and making floral arrangements; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Madeline Bolger was a generous supporter of many
17worthwhile causes; she served as an election judge, an
18Associated Milk Producers Inc. delegate, and an avid supporter
19of Farmland Conservancy; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Madeline Bolger was preceded in death by her

1parents; her brothers, Eugene and Roger Freund; and her sister,
2Claire Moran; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Madeline Bolger is survived by her husband,
4Walter; her son, John Bolger; her granddaughter, Sarah Bolger;
5and her brothers, Walter (Kathryn) Freund and Gerald (Helen)
6Freund; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
9family and friends, mourn the passing of Madeline G. Bolger;
10and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Madeline Bolger as an expression of
13our sympathy.
