SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Madeline G. Bolger of McHenry, who passed away on September 28, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Madeline Bolger was born on February 15, 1925 in McHenry; her parents were Walter G. and Olive G. Freund; she married Walter "Gov" J. Bolger on July 2, 1966 at St. Mary Catholic Church in McHenry; and

WHEREAS, Madeline Bolger graduated from McHenry High School in 1943; after high school, she continued her schooling and worked in Washington, D.C.; she lived with her husband on the family farm in the heart of the Irish Prairie for 46 years; and

WHEREAS, Madeline Bolger enjoyed gardening, freezing vegetables, and making floral arrangements; and

WHEREAS, Madeline Bolger was a generous supporter of many worthwhile causes; she served as an election judge, an Associated Milk Producers Inc. delegate, and an avid supporter of Farmland Conservancy; and

WHEREAS, Madeline Bolger was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Eugene and Roger Freund; and her sister, Claire Moran; and

WHEREAS, Madeline Bolger is survived by her husband, Walter; her son, John Bolger; her granddaughter, Sarah Bolger; and her brothers, Walter (Kathryn) Freund and Gerald (Helen) Freund; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Madeline G. Bolger; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Madeline Bolger as an expression of our sympathy.
