SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Thomas Charles Roser, who passed away on September 25, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Roser was born on April 15, 1936 in Libertyville; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Roser served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1959 to 1965; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Roser was employed as a civil servant for many years until his retirement in 1994 as chief of the Plans Division for the Department of Defense; he also served on the Waukegan Special Police Force for 10 years; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Roser was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast for many years; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Roser was preceded in death by his parents, Julia (Schmidt) and William Thomas Roser, and his brothers, William J. Roser and Jacob Brefeld; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Roser is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jo (Stripe) Roser; his children, Michelle (Greg) Major, Pamela (David) King, Gail (John) Frew, and Brad Roser; his grandchildren, Alyssa and Joshua King, McKenna and Reese Major, and Stephanie and Bailey Frew; his sister, Betty Gamble; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Thomas Charles Roser; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Thomas Roser as an expression of our sympathy.
