SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Peter Michaels, who passed away on January 24, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Peter Michaels was a well-respected and decorated officer in the Waukegan Police Department; he was also a member of HAPA; and

WHEREAS, Peter Michaels was the husband of Tina; the loving father of Christina and Gabriella Michaels; the devoted son of John and Elizabeth Michaels; the dear brother of Angelo (Sofia) and Steven (Elizabeth) Michaels; the fond uncle of Gianna, Brandyn, Marissa, Elizabeth, Patricia, John, and Dimitri; and the beloved nephew, cousin, and friend of many; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Peter Michaels; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Peter Michaels as an expression of our sympathy.
