SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Shirley Gene Miller, who passed away on September 8, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Shirley Miller was born on August 29, 1934 in Chicago; her parents were James and Josephine (nee Florek) Inman; she married Don Miller on July 29, 1967 in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Shirley Miller was a graduate of Visitation High School in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Shirley Miller was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey; and

WHEREAS, Shirley Miller was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard Inman; and

WHEREAS, Shirley Miller is survived by her husband, Don; her daughters, Claudine Miller (David Flanagan) and Laurel (James) Montecinos; her grandchildren, Nicolas, Josie, and Daniel Hartman; and her nephew, David (Emily) Inman, and their children, Richard and Peter Inman; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Shirley Gene Miller; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Shirley Miller as an expression of our sympathy.
