SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Frank L. Wortham, Sr. of North Chicago, who passed away on September 4, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Frank Wortham, Sr. was born on December 2, 1925 in Newnan, Georgia; he served his country during World War II in the United States Navy; he was retired from the Naval Training Center in Great Lakes; and

WHEREAS, Frank Wortham, Sr. is survived by his son, Frank L. Wortham, Jr.; his daughters, Felice Wortham and Joyce Wortham-Mancera; his 10 grandchildren; his 3 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Frank L. Wortham, Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Frank Wortham, Sr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
