SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mary Ann Ruggero of Wonder Lake, who passed away on July 13, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Mary Ann Ruggero was born on September 11, 1925, in Kendall, Michigan, to John and Josephine (nee Regula) Kiss; she moved with her family to Chicago and attended Wells High School; she received her nursing degree from Saint Elizabeth Hospital Nursing School; she married Santo Lucio Ruggero on January 4, 1947, at Saint Sylvester Catholic Church in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Mary Ann Ruggero moved to Wonder Lake with her husband in 1950; in 1977 she began to work part-time as a nurse in his medical office; together they served the community until retirement; and

WHEREAS, Mary Ann Ruggero is survived by her husband; her children, Louise (Steven) Krater, Nancy (Al Tracy) Ruggero, James (Valerie) Ruggero, Robert (Terese Lohmieier) Ruggero, Thomas (Linda Brady) Ruggero, Cynthia (Jan Stahl) Ruggero, William Ruggero, Therese (Bruce Vierheller) Ruggero, Margaret Ruggero, and Lydia (BJ Neff) Ruggero; her 16 grandchildren; and her 9 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Mary Ann Ruggero, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Ann Ruggero as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
