SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Kenneth M. Schill, who passed away on November 25, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Schill was born on March 18, 1937, in Chicago; his parents were Maurice and Catherine Schill; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Schill served his country as a member of the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Schill was employed by American Airlines for many years; he also served as the building commissioner, park president, and assistant fire chief of the Village of Berkeley; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Schill was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Durand; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Schill was preceded in death by his parents and his grandchild, Calypso Schill; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Schill is survived by his wife, Gwen Schill; his sons, Tom (Sylvie) Schill, Dan Schill, and Larry (Sharon) Schill; his daughters, Tammy (Joe) Messlein and Tracy (Carl) Celestino; his grandchildren, Alexia and Madeline Schill, Bradley Unterberger, Zachary and Morgan Schill, Sammuel Schill, and Benjamin Messlein; and his sister, Evelyn Schill; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Kenneth M. Schill; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kenneth Schill as an expression of our sympathy.
