SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mary Lou Nelson of Park City, who passed away on June 27, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Mary Lou Nelson was born on May 5, 1940, in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Mary Lou Nelson worked as a cashier at Eagle Foods and retired after 30 years of employment; and

WHEREAS, Mary Lou Nelson was a member of Women of the Moose; and

WHEREAS, Mary Lou Nelson enjoyed spending time with family and friends, music, and dancing; and

WHEREAS, Mary Lou Nelson was preceded in death by her husband, John Nelson; her brother, Robert Martinez; her sisters, Sandy Benn and Alyce Kirkley; and her grandson, Shawn O'Reilly; and

WHEREAS, Mary Lou Nelson is survived by her sons, Don O'Reilly, Jeff (Lisa) O'Reilly, and Shawn O'Reilly; her daughter, Cheryl O'Reilly Bluma; her 11 grandchildren; her 7 great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Irene Farrand and Arlene Maze; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Mary Lou Nelson; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Lou Nelson as an expression of our sympathy.
