SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of James V. Grana of Waukegan, who passed
4away on June 29, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, James Grana was born on March 27, 1920, in
6Waukegan, to Guiseppe and Antoinette Grana; he married Myrtle
7Ruth Martin on November 5, 1948 in Waukegan; he was a veteran
8of the United States Navy and served aboard the USS Yorktown
9during World War II; and
 
10    WHEREAS, James Grana retired from V.R. Wesson after 40
11years of service; and
 
12    WHEREAS, James Grana was a member of the Waukegan Elk's
13Club and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family; and
 
14    WHEREAS, James Grana was preceded in death by his wife; his
15parents; and many brothers and sisters; and
 
16    WHEREAS, James Grana is survived by his sons, Vincent
17(Shirley Claypool) Grana, Martin (Susan) Grana, and Michael
18Grana; his former daughter-in-law, Dianne Grana; his
19grandchildren, James Grana, David (Jenny) Grana, Joseph
20(Tricia) Grana, Dana (Levi) Grana, Jennifer (Wayne) Ruffley,

1Matthew (Jenny) Grana, Megan Grana, and Joseph (Kelly) Grana;
2his great-grandchildren, Brandon, Emily, Melody, Evan, Jadyn,
3Aiden, Jaci, Rinoa, Gianna, and Lorenzo; his sister, Angelina
4Jeffers; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7James V. Grana, and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of James Grana as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
