SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Joseph Michael Graziano of Clarendon Hills, who passed away on January 4, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Graziano was born at home on November 20, 1926, in Oak Park; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Graziano was a respected artist and Chicago businessman; after attending art school, he worked for the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Daily News, and several studios before opening his own firm, Studio Arts; in 1967, he and his partners formed the commercial art/advertising agency Graziano, Krafft, and Zale, where he created artwork for many clients, including Kraft Foods and Wrigley, until his retirement; and

WHEREAS, Following his retirement, Joseph Graziano enjoyed playing golf and painting with watercolors; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Graziano was a long term member of Ruth Lake Country Club in Hinsdale; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Graziano was preceded in death by his parents, Salvatore and Argia, and his brothers, Victor and Ralph; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Graziano is survived by his wife of 60 years, Virginia; his children, Carolyn (Greg Lutz), Diane (Gary Anderson), and Edward (Linda); his grandchildren, Ellen, Christopher, Ryan, Lisa, Savannah, and Elliott; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Joseph Michael Graziano; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Joseph Graziano as an expression of our sympathy.
