SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Donald J. Campagna of Alton, who passed away on April 26, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Donald Campagna was born on November 25, 1937, in Alton; his parents were Joseph Anthony and Elizabeth Campagna and his step-mother was Virginia Campagna; he married the former Marilyn J. Heffron on December 22, 1962, in Godfrey; and

WHEREAS, Donald Campagna served his country with pride as a member of the United States Army; and

WHEREAS, Donald Campagna retired as an estimator at McDonnell Douglas in 1997 after many years of service; he also served as a manager at Alton Motorcycle Sales; and

WHEREAS, Donald Campagna was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton; he was also a member of the Alton-Wood River Sportsman's Club, the Alton Eagles Foe No. 254, and the Alton Moose Lodge; and

WHEREAS, Donald Campagna was preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter, Alexis Campagna Hawkins; and

WHEREAS, Donald Campagna is survived by his wife, Marilyn; his daughters, Angie Goska (Mike), Georgia Hawkins (Robert), and Kate Miller (Travis); his grandchildren, Andrew, Adam, and Alex Goska, Emily and Hannah Hawkins, and Delaney, Jesse, and Colton Miller; his brother, Bill Campagna; his half-brother, Patrick McClain; his stepbrother, Mike McClain; and his stepsisters, Eileen Karon Carman, Patty McClain-Evans, and Kathy McClain-Glynn; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Donald J. Campagna; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Donald Campagna as an expression of our sympathy.
