SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Angelo J. Garbin, who passed away on April 14, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Angelo Garbin was born in Joliet on July 16, 1946, to Beno A. and Carmella Garbin; he married Rita M. Clemens; and

WHEREAS, Angelo Garbin worked as an insurance agent for Farmers Insurance Group for 30 years; and

WHEREAS, Angelo Garbin was a long-time musician; he was a life-time member at the American Legion Harwood Post #5 since 1975, a member of the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1967, a member of the 158th United States Army Band, and a member of the Joliet West Kiwanis Club for over 20 years; and

WHEREAS, Angelo Garbin was preceded in death by his father; and

WHEREAS, Angelo Garbin is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rita; his mother, Carmella; his sons, Joseph S. Garbin (Deborah) and Steven P. Garbin (Bonnie); his sister, Mary-Ann Felkins (Dareld); his brother, Anthony B. Garbin (Jeannine); his grandsons, Matthew J. Garbin, Stephen A. Garbin, and Richard J. Garbin; and his special niece and godchild, Kim Knor; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Angelo Garbin, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Angelo Garbin as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
