SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Angelo J. Garbin, who passed away on
4April 14, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Angelo Garbin was born in Joliet on July 16, 1946,
6to Beno A. and Carmella Garbin; he married Rita M. Clemens; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Angelo Garbin worked as an insurance agent for
8Farmers Insurance Group for 30 years; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Angelo Garbin was a long-time musician; he was a
10life-time member at the American Legion Harwood Post #5 since
111975, a member of the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1967, a member of
12the 158th United States Army Band, and a member of the Joliet
13West Kiwanis Club for over 20 years; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Angelo Garbin was preceded in death by his father;
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Angelo Garbin is survived by his wife of 45 years,
17Rita; his mother, Carmella; his sons, Joseph S. Garbin
18(Deborah) and Steven P. Garbin (Bonnie); his sister, Mary-Ann
19Felkins (Dareld); his brother, Anthony B. Garbin (Jeannine);
20his grandsons, Matthew J. Garbin, Stephen A. Garbin, and

1Richard J. Garbin; and his special niece and godchild, Kim
2Knor; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Angelo Garbin, and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Angelo Garbin as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
