SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jerry J. Johnson of Waukegan, who passed away on December 27, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Jerry Johnson was born on August 25, 1936, in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Jerry Johnson retired from Commonwealth Edison after over 25 years of employment; he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and former member of the Solo Society in Barrington; and

WHEREAS, Jerry Johnson enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being a foster parent to children for many years; and

WHEREAS, Jerry Johnson was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Jerry Johnson is survived by his life partner of 15 years, Lois Adams; his daughter, Deborah (Clayton) Scales; his sons, Kevin (Missy) Johnson and Gregory Johnson; and his 6 grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jerry Johnson, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jerry Johnson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
